There was a boy named Jet who was born in Rivendell in a hut. His Father is a hunter, his mother a gardener. They named him Jet because they knew he would be a fast hunter and will use his skills for good and not evil. Months past and his father had to leave because he joined the army and a big war was going to start. Jet’s mother had to leave Rivendell because of the danger and they couldn’t afford to live at their house, so she moved to the forest with Jet.
Many years have passed and Jet is now thirteen and living with his mom and uncle in the Adenine forest, he is a young hunter now and is working hard to support his mom and uncle.
Every day he always think of his father in distance memories and  wonders if father is still alive and fighting in the war which has been going on for twenty years and the enemy has been winning the last battles. Jet has seen all his cousins go to join and fight in the war. He has seen all of his cousins come back dead, it breaks his heart and he wants to join but he’s too young.
Jet talks to uncle and ask him “hey Uncle Allard do remember stories of my dad”? Allard, said oh yes Jet, he was a very strong courageous man! Never afraid of anything! Let me tell you a story about your father. One day your mother was gathering food in the forest just outside Rivendell, and a pack of wolves came and your father and I heard a scream so we both rushed to the forest and your mom was cornered by wolves and you dad had only a small sword and killed the whole pack of wolves I was in shock of what just happened. Uncle what did you do? Said Jet,
Well lad I was going to help your father but he killed them so quick it was outstanding I never seen anything like it before! Wow! Said Jet how amazing! Yea it was really, until the war began said Allard, War?  Jet said in a frantic voice, yes lad; the great ring war my lad. Ring war? Said Jet, Allard told him it all started when a small hobbit took a ring and his nephew had to return and then we had to protect ourselves and the hobbits. So your father decided to join the army to protect your mother and you my lad. Wow I wish I knew my father said Jet in a very sad tone.

After they were talking his mother called him and said we have to move to a safer place. Why mom? Said Jet because my son the war is getting worse and worse the enemy might move toward this area! Ok mom I’ll do what u tell me to do. Years have passed and Jet is now twenty years old.  Today is a beautiful day right mom, mom? Mom! Jet looked in awe his mom was dead on the floor of their house and his uncle was hanged outside. No! Who has done this! Jet is very angry and knew that evil has done this. Jet is now on a mission to find who has done this to go find his father and he will join the army to find this ring he herd of and to have  avenge for the death of his mother and uncle. This is where the journey begins.

Eatsleeprace

My gamer tag in the game is Eatsleeprace.  Yeah, I know, pretty dumb.  But it’s a name and I like it!
Eatsleeprace was born in Middle Earth.  His dads name was Jay, and his mother’s name was Lisa.  Their last name is Franzen.  The Family was Italian!  Mr. and Mrs. Franzen did bad things.  So bad that I cant say it!  Eatsleeprace had three brothers.  Their names were, Dan, Alex and Jay-Jay.  Eatsleeprace was the youngest and Dan was the next oldest, then up the line was Alex then Jay-Jay.
One day when all the brothers were doing their normal things they do in their house, they Aunt Darlene and Uncle Rick came to the house.  They came by to bring us to their house because we were not allowed to live with our parents anymore.  Eatsleeprace and his brother Dan went to live with my Aunt Darlene and Uncle Rick, and my brothers Alex and Jay-Jay, went to live with my Aunt Patty and Uncle Frankie.  My Aunt Darlene and Uncle Rick already had to kids of their own.  Their names were Katie and Eric.  Katie is Eatsleeprace’s age and Eric is four years older.  At that moment we had no idea what was going on.  Dan and Eatsleeprace were just going along with it because it was nice and peaceful!
The food they had and served was fantastic!  The first night was a great night, along with every other day I was there.  They signed me up for a school along with my brother also.  Eatsleeprace hated the school! He was always getting in trouble for the dumb things he did.  He also would get all the females also!  The ladies loved him! He was the man, pots and pans!  His Aunt that he lived with also worked at the school a few days a week.
Eatsleeprace was a big trouble maker!  He was always lying all the time!   There was not one time that anybody could think of when he was a good boy.  Eatsleeprace would also lie in school.  He was always getting grounded and staying in his room when his friends were out or family.  For two summers straight, he failed his grade!  He had to stay in everyday in the summer and do math work and English work and everything else!  Eatsleeprace was always upset because he couldn’t go out and hated the work.  Also, when he got in trouble, most of the time he would have to write over and over and over the same sentence.  Like, “I will not lie again,” five hundred times!
His Aunt Darlene was having another baby! A baby girl! Her name was Jaime.  Eatsleeprace had to leave the house and go to a Foster home because his Aunt could not take care of five kids and she didn’t have enough room for me.  Dan ended up going to Aunt Patty’s house.
The foster home was called, Christ Home for Kids.  Eatsleeprace later then got adopted by his third grade instructor.  Her name was Mrs. La Guardia.  So eatsleeprace’s name then changed to La Guardia.  He is happy now with his new family and loves everybody in the family.  He has three nephews and two nieces!

Randolf's Backstory

Randolf of the Fray was an Elvish hunter from Mirkwood. Legolas, the Prince of Mirkwood, was his hunting teacher, and just so happened to be an expert bowman. Randolf had been studying under Legolas for almost a hundred years. One day, Randolf looked for Legolas to go on one last hunting trip before he would go off on an adventure to destroy the one and only Ring of Power, but alas, Randolf was too late; Legolas had already gone.
Randolf gathered his things and enough supplies to last him a couple of days and nights. He packed a sheath of twenty-four arrows, his fifty pound re-curved oak bow, food and water, and a warm blanket for cold nights. Right before he set off, he realized he had forgotten fire making supplies, so he turned back and got them. Then once he was sure he had everything, he set off for his hunting trip. Little did he know he would see a familiar and dreadful face on his trip.
For a full day and night without any rest, he was tracking what seemed to be a hundred and fifty pound elk. Once he got close to it, he decided to rest for the night and get his energy back. That night, he had a very strange dream where he was fighting orcs, trolls, and other foul creatures. He awoke in a sudden fright. It all seemed so familiar, like he had done something like that before, but he would remember if he had, wouldn’t he?
The next morning he found his prey and was getting to a position where he could kill it from a good distance and not scare it off. When he was about to shoot, he heard a crack behind him and he turned and shot. To his surprise when he saw what it was, memories flooded his mind so quickly it gave him a searing headache. That thing that he shot at was an old man who had caught the arrow right before it pierced his chest. When he got a better look, he realized it wasn’t a man at all; it was an old, ugly, and blinded seer. This particular seer had met and given Randolf a quest almost fifty years ago.
The last time this seer had shown up in Randolf’s life, he almost lost it, and for what, some old gem that he didn’t even get to keep? This time it seemed different, like there was a worry deep in the seer’s mind, as if something terrible might happen. Little did Randolf know, if he said no, the world as he knew it would be gone forever! This seer wanted him to go on a long journey with only the items he had with him now. The seer said that he had to go and find Legolas and help destroy the ring. Randolf thought over it for a few minutes, and when he finally decided to do it, he heard a loud screech, as if something wanted him dead. He ran as fast as he could, and so his newest and most terrifyingly important mission he had and ever will go on again, had just begun!

Game vs. Book

It gives me a visual view of everything in the book. The book is more mental than playing the game.
I like the game better than the book because its fun playing as your own character and you get to see whats in the book.
The different between the game and the book is with the book you can imagine the story in your head. If you like reading then the book is a definite for you. The game is a great way to connect to the book. The game is a better way to understand the book

Game vs. Book

Me thinks this game is bestest.

Playing the game is awesome, I like playing the game because its based on the book. It gives us an outstanding visual of the book. I found it interesting how the houses are very similar the way they describe them. I also like how the NPCs are characters from the book.

When we first saw "Ted Sandyman" I realized how nice this game is going to be. I noticed the hobbit houses are very nice and round. This game is very detailed and fun. I like the whole concept of playing the game while reading the book it will help us a lot when reading. We are going to have plenty of fun.

Game vs. Book

I like playing the game better then reading the book because it is easier to understand. I learn things better when I see it. It helps me know who each person is by visually seeing them. I like how in the game you can see all the places and how everything is set up. In the book you have to try and imagine it.

The similarities is the people in the book and the game. They have a lot of the same people and the places are the same also. I really love the game and how everything is so realistic. It is way more interesting then reading the book. So I personally love the game. Even though I don't really understand how to play the game since I am not a gamer, I still enjoy the game.

mike

This game is pretty cool.  Its a lot different then the book.  I feel like I am reading the book, but in the book.  I thought it was cool walking around with the class and seeing all around the world in the game.

I also like how the classroom we are in, is exactly like the room in the Baggens house hold!  The part when we walked through the party that Bilbo threw was cool.  I like how when we got there, there was nobody there!  I think its pretty cool that we can sit down and dance and clap.  I'm really excited to play this game!

What I think

I think this is a fun way of learning about Lord of The Ring. I like it a lot better then just reading the book. I hope that in the future we get to learn like this more often. This should help us learn it in a quicker and more fun way.

So far in this game we get to fight some monsters from the book. I have come across spiders, goblins, and orcs. Battling these creatures is fun. I hope to help the fellowship with its future adventures and help Frodo deliver the ring. That is what I think of the game so far.

Thoughts about the game.

I really like the game. Not only are we learning, we are having fun while doing it. It is very fun to complete quests and get into the gamer world. Although I haven't played as much as the rest of the class because of my absences, from what I played I love it. There is nothing that i don't like about the game. The graphics are good and the game itself is very fun.  I'm so happy that we can do this for English class. I look forward to class everyday now since we get to play this great  game.

Lord of the rings game

The Lord of the Rings game is okay. I really don't like doing games on the laptop. I used to be a gamer
but I grew out of that and if I was playing games with my friends then I'll play but I usually won't play games. Now the game itself is not that great. To me the graphics are not good at all. It seems cheesy too. So I give this game 3 out of 5 stars.

Game thoughts!!

Alright, so this game is cool.  I never really played a game like this ever.  So my thoughts about this game are positive/negative.  The positive thoughts about this game are, the graphics are pretty good, the fighting in the game is pretty realistic.  I also like how you can roam anywhere in the world of the game as much as you want.  The negative parts about the game are, I would really like if we could ride horses to have faster transportation around the game.  I am excited to start exploring the world of Lord of the Rings!

Fellowship of the Great Warriors

I, Wes the Giant, like the game personally. The game is very easy to learn, I enjoy doing quests in the game because they make me feel all adventurous. Playing with classmates makes the game so much more fun and it will help us work as a team. I feel like this will be a great way to learn more and visualize our book. I cannot wait to be put in the game clan so we can do quests together.  I have a feeling this class is going to be a great time. I think it’s cool that a classmate who I thought would never say he would like English, says can’t wait for English class. I like this class a lot!

What I think of LotRO

I think that LotRO is a fun game to play and it is helping us get more into Lord of the Rings. It makes us feel like we are doing something to help the fellowship out. We can roam around the world doing quests, fighting creatures and monsters getting the full gaming experience. This is probably one of the best ways to have an English class in a fun and exciting way. I hope that in the future of English, other classes can enjoy this way of learning. To make learning feel like a game and an adventure is a new and exciting way to have class. This is how i feel about LotRO.
